Digital twin is a virtual model designed to accurately reflect the overall biological condition of the individual. The individual being tested is monitored with various wearable sensors related to vital areas of functionality. These sensors produce realtime data about different aspects of bio-signals, and then relayed to the model.

Once informed with such data, the AI-based intra-individual and inter-individual models can be used to run analysis, perform risk stratification and generate individualized diagnostics, all with the goal of generating valuable out-patients’ insights- which can then be offered to physicians for more precise individuation of diagnosis and treatment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Front-end technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5. Experiences with React, Redux and Electron are highly preferred.

• Development language: Knowledge of server-side programming languages including Java and Python.

• Database: Familiarity with DBMS technology, including SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.

• Server: Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.

• Experience with Amazon AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda and SageMaker.

• Experience designing web services and RESTful APIs microservices.

• Good understanding of Git, source control procedures, and feature branching.

• Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it.

• Maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment.

• Modifying and testing changes to previously developed programs.

• Providing continued support and routine site audits, as well as ongoing maintenance on as as-needed basis, for developed programs.

Role Summary

The Biomedical Engineer is tasked with developing and ensuring that our software and hardware systems align with industry standards and meet both business and technical requirements. This role involves engaging in various activities throughout the software and hardware lifecycles, with a focus on ensuring quality, functionality, and alignment with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Involved in the Research and Development (R&D) of ZBeats' proprietary medical devices, ZBPatch - an ambulatory patch sensor, translating customer needs into critical-to-quality requirements and design specifications. Ensuring these specifications aligned with industry-standards.

• Develop, review, and approve critical documentation, including requirements validation plans, protocols, and traceability matrices, ensuring efficiency in document control procedures.

• Support system risk management, emphasizing safety classifications and comprehensive risk assessment throughout the product lifecycle.

• Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with requirements and specifications.

• Proactively identify system defects, providing timely solutions and reports to management.

• Collaborate with the team to improve testing coverage and efficiency, including unit and integration tests.

• Participate in various reviews (software design, CAPA, technical) related to medical device products.

• Liaise with external partners in developing medical products, focusing on quality and regulatory compliance.

• Provide input to design and manufacturing documentation, ensuring manufacturability and testability of products.

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and automated scripts, maintaining meticulous documentation for debugging and modifications.

• Analyze test results, recommending corrective actions and collaborating with other team members.

• Mentor team members in quality testing methodologies and skill development.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific field. If not biomedical background, preferred two years' experiences in the Medical Device or related industry.

Skills and Experience

• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Exceptional English writing skills for creating regulatory documentation.

• Proficient in English verbal communication.

• Quick learner with the ability to understand new technologies, business, and technical concepts.

• Familiarity with ALM tools.

• Experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Team Foundation Server, JIRA) and automated test suites (e.g., Test Complete, QTP, Selenium).

• Strong collaborative skills, able to work effectively with various teams and individuals.

• Independent work ethic with a proactive attitude.

• Minimum of one year's experience in primary job responsibilities.

• Agile software testing knowledge is a plus. Preferred Qualifications

• Mandarin language skills are preferred for direct communication with manufacturers in Taiwan.
